The Next Chapter for Aquaman: Streaming Release Date Announced for ‘The Lost Kingdom

The eagerly anticipated ‘The Lost Kingdom,’ the next installment in the Aquaman saga, is set to make waves on the Max streaming service starting February 27. This release marks a significant step for Warner Bros. as it transitions from the DC Extended Universe, concluding with this sequel, to a new era under the guidance of James Gunn and Peter Safran. The film continues to follow Arthur Curry, portrayed by Jason Momoa, as he navigates his dual life as the King of Atlantis and a father on the surface, facing threats from his past including the vengeful Black Manta wielding the ancient Black Trident.

Despite the challenges faced by the DC Extended Universe at the box office in 2023, ‘The Lost Kingdom’ emerged as a beacon of success, securing approximately $433 million worldwide. Directed by James Wan and written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, the film delves into Atlantis’s rich history and Arthur Curry’s latest confrontation with Black Manta. With the launch of ‘The Lost Kingdom’ on Max, audiences can now delve into the depths of Atlantis’s tales from the comfort of their homes, setting the stage for the future of DC’s cinematic universe, beginning with the upcoming ‘Superman: Legacy.’
